"Before and After" One Year's Progress

“A garden is never finished” - Zen Master Shunryu Suzuki. “Before and After” pics are fun but really the “after” is limitless and in constant flux. That said, let’s check out one year’s progress on a portion of this yard that is filling in nicely and quickly!! The Joe Pye is like 10’ tall back there and the Hyssop is 6 feet! Cray! As for the ecological benefits, the pollinators are very busy already in this yard, whereas “before” it was essentially vacant. These plants are literally lifesavers for most pollinators as well as other beneficial insects and birds. Ecological gardens like this are catching on (I’m crazy busy) but it needs to happen faster. #choosenativeplants
